The Audi dealership in Hardeeville, SC is a 26,000 SF building with a partial mezzanine. The structural system consists of conventional structural steel with long span trusses spanning the showroom and service areas.
Due to poor soil conditions and to mitigate the effects of liquefaction during a seismic event, an auger cast pile and cast-in-place concrete grade beam foundation was utilized.
