The MIDTOWN multi-family and mixed use development is located in the Thomas Square district of Savannah, Georgia. It consists of a three-story mixed use building, and eight multi-family buildings with a total gross area of approximately 20,000 SF.
The structural framing system is comprised of conventional wood framing and utilizes conventional structural steel elements to achieve clear spans in the commercial spaces and to accommodate large storefronts with the use of ordinary moment frames where shear wall segments were undesirable.
