Preservation of a rare example of Streamline Moderne Architecture in Savannah

Designed by architect George D. Brown and built in 1938, this historic Greyhound Bus Station is a standout example of rare Streamline Moderne architecture in Savannah. Renovations were required in order to accommodate a brand new restaurant, including repair of existing steel lintels and roof framing.

Other renovations included reinforcement of the roof structure to allow the installation of new mechanical equipment and to allow for future occupancy, and the addition of light wells in the private dining room in the cellar. Our firm designed retrofit sign supports for the new signage, which replicates the original.
