Cambria Hotel – Savannah

Tharpe Engineering Group provided structural engineering services for the 6-story, 101-room hotel in downtown Savannah, GA. The new 63,914 SF building is constructed of structural steel framed first and second levels with panelized light-gauge metal framing and Epicore long-span deck on floors three through six.

The lateral force resisting system is comprised of the cast-in-place concrete elevator and stair shaft shear walls and ordinary steel braced frames. A partial basement was created using shored excavation to construct cast-in-place concrete retaining walls.
